Our client – a distributor of specialist electrical products that’s supplied the athletes’ village for the 2012 Olympics is also aiming for world-class performance.  The Wrexham-based Cable Services Group have embarked on a major programme of international expansion. The firm, which celebrates its 40th anniversary next year, has established a new subsidiary company, Cable Services International, to concentrate on the export market. They supply specialist cables and cable accessories for municipal, commercial and industrial uses. Among the places they’ve supplied in the UK are the Olympic Village in London, Edinburgh Castle and the Scottish Parliament buildings.

Group Managing Director Jason Bostock explained: “We’ve done a great deal of turnover internationally over the years without formally marketing the business. So, we decided to launch the new international division at an electrical products exhibition in Dubai and the response has been incredible – enquiries are already up by 30 per cent. Bob Hughes, the International Sales Manager, and I are going back out to Dubai next year. We’re also targeting the old Eastern Bloc countries and even going into Russia itself where the markets are relatively untapped. We want to grow the business and take it to the next level and we believe that taking our product portfolio to different markets is the way forward.”

They said “Michael has been the company’s accountant from the very outset and his advice and guidance have been fundamentally important to our continued success and growth.

Michael Coxey said “We are delighted that we have been able to play our part in the Cable Services success story. They are great ambassadors for local business and industry.”
